PS ..... it does remember the widget size I set.

Yes - correct here to. The layout always reverts to the "Cambridge way", but it does seem to remember the module sizes I set in Braintree.

It used to be bad enough that early adopters had to beta test a new version every year and a half, now everyone has to beta test every month.  If I were using Sonar in a professional setting, I'd be scared to death.

You can update whenever you want - you don't have to update the day it's released - and roll back to a previous version if you have a problem until there's a fix.

If you use SONAR in a professional setting, the Dim Pro sounds do work, it's just that the SFZ files are placed inelegantly but that can be fixed and doesn't impact performance...and I don't see the Control Bar issue as so serious it can't be coped with for a while until a patch happens but if so, just hold off on the update. Given how much stuff has worked properly in the two releases so far, I really don't think they qualify as "beta tests."

Also ...

* The hardgrove collection just copies to the default area and does not honour the folder path for rapture in the registry. You need to move it to the multisamples folder manually afterwards (if it is in a different place).

* Boost 11 appears to be installed on every update is also hard coded and does not honour the existing file path. The version keeps incrementing.

Seems to me that they need sorting out on the emergency update too.

Because I tested the control bar without realizing I hadn't finished downloading Cambridge, so I thought it worked. After I realized my error, I removed the post because I didn't want to give the impression I had gotten it working in Cambridge. I then posted later to confirm that I did experience the same bug in Cambridge.

Craig, do you know yet if this is universal in Cambridge, or is it just affecting some of us?

I don't know, sorry. Cakewalk is aware of the issue.

The great thing about it is that I know Cakewalk will sort this out soon with a follow up emergency fix. It is inevitable there will be bugs.

I'm going to wait two weeks after every release before upgrading (in fact I might just install one month behind). It really is an excellent way of shifting software if it continues this way and they fix regression bugs rapidly.

Just to confirm. Put me on the list of the control bar error after Cambridge.
