That's OK - I'll have to try it myself when I get a chance.....
In the meantime, could you just check the link you provided if you have a minute - it doesn't seem to work (Page not found).
Thank you again!

I couldn't get the elevated command prompt method to work.  Here is what I did in Windows 10 to disable Driver Signature Verification.
Start Menu>Power>Shift Key-Restart>Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>StartUp Settings>Restart>F7 (Function 7)

No, just have the Shift key down when you click Restart and maybe for a few seconds afterwards.  It should reboot to a screen that should have the Troubleshoot option.
Just noticed that Bluenote has a link above that does the same thing.  Sorry for the double post.

Nothing like reviving an old thread. I finally upgraded to Wiin 10 on my DAW.

I have a UA 25-EX and tried both methods. I had no luck. Device manager shows the UA 25-EX with the dreaded yellow triangle.

I have 2 questions:

My upgrade was from Win 7 Pro (64 bit) to Win 10 Pro (64 bit). Do I need to use/mod different drivers? This seems to be for Win 8 to Win 10 upgrades. I'm not sure that makes a diference.

What should the settings on the UA 25-EX be for success?

As an aside I tried the Win 10 update drivers to find the proper driver and it ran all night. No luck.
Very frustrating to say the least.

A word of advice:

If you are planning to upgrade to Windows 10. and want to use your Edirol device, make sure to uninstall the driver before you upgrade to Windows 10, because the Windows 7/8 Edirol uninstall program won't work in Windows 10, for the same reason the driver won't work, it's not designed for Windows 10.

Registered just to say thank you.
This worked perfectly after win7 to win10 pro 64bit upgrade. (method 1)
I did need to re reboot, as someone mentioned above you need to uninstall the driver first, otherwise you have to run the uninstall in compatibility mode and it's more complex.  However I was able to figure it out.

thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just upgraded my PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and "Method 1" worked perfectly to bring my trusty old Edirol UM-550 MIDI Patcher back to life. Awesome!!
