Holy Chalumbas...

What Presonus Studio One ver 3 did to wipe out competition in the DAW world, Midi Guitar did in the audio to midi software world. Even if in the beta mode, this update broke the mold. Almost there with the best hardware alternatives. Real celebration for us that can't justify 2000 dollars getting Roland working.

First friggin' software on the planet that responds expressively to subtle vibrato. Critical advance.

With my rig (and Midi Guitar out of the box), the pitch bend has to be enabled. Somewhat counter intuitive, but the pitch bend by default is set to a lower numerical number on the 1 to 12 scale. Too excess by default, and I roll it back all the way to 12 on the other end, being the least responsive. (More equals less)

The program will not exactly duplicate the actual real world range of bend, but close enough. Resolution to integral half steps in a bend are accurate, if getting there is a minor bit off. No jagged steps and artifacts however. This opposed to the super sensitive settings (lower number resolution) where your guitar is flying all over the place out of tune and out of control.

The ability to have the guitar running a string synth and getting real vibrato control is a joy. Never been able to pull this off before.

I downloaded the trail version and was suitably impressed once my GAS gland (Wallet) has recovered from the current SONAR update I might just need to scratch it again.

Yes, that's a big +100 on the pitch bend!!
That just enabled a lot of feeling/emotion in playing MG synth's.......excellent update this is......and this is from just the initial playing with version 11.

Really nice...

Ole said he can now add "nice vibrato" to the features list.

Worth to note that so far, the new tracking features are not public, but downloadable to those who have purchased the product in the past.

Means that the demo available doesn't have these significant improvements. Means that if you are downloading a demo and like the program, the next release version will take control of your credit card.

I have not had too much time to try it out but can agree that the improved pitch bend is great.

I had never heard of this before. It looks very interesting. I didn't see any price on the website. Anyone know what they charge for a new customer?

Looks like version 2 is only in beta presently?

$99.95 near the bottom of http://www.jamorigin.com/products/midi-guitar/
Purchasing now gets v1, v2 (currently a beta) and I believe the bass version is thrown in too.
