Was there actually a second email sent out about the lifetime updates? I only got the one about the June 1st announcement as well. I own Sonar X3e Producer. Is this offer just for the Sonar Platinum owners?

The second email was for Platinum users who purchased Platinum last year and renewed using the one-time payment program earlier this year. The announcement for everyone else should be tomorrow.

Scook, I think this describes me; I didn't get a second email (I'm actually having trouble finding the first email as well). Was this connected to the newsletter?

It should all be part of tomorrow's announcement. If you are not receiving emails (including the newsletter) check your newsletter status here  https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account and make sure the data is correct here https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Manage

It'll be what it will be,I want it to be mac version of sonar, seems unlikely.Don't understand why people assume having a macversion would end up shorting the pc users.Propellerhead does it well, ableton does it,protools, and others,fl studio is working on it.They would have to hire more people obviously, now if cakewalk can't create a native ac sonar without screwing over those who use pc then they shouldn't make one.I think it would be wise to grow the company and add mac support, thats just an opinion though.

Just raise my hands and pray for the Mac rumors to be true. I am really sick of the boot camp and all the problems / BSOD I had..

Unfortunately a Mac version doesn't mean SONAR will automatically have fewer bugs. If anything, both the PC and Mac versions will probably end up having more bugs due to having to then spread resources thinner across two platforms. Unless the code is mostly cross-platform, but even that makes things more complicated compared to supporting just one platform.

I hear your point, but this is not necessarily a given, cakewalk would have to hire people to do mac version or just hire in general, they wouldn't have to be spread thin.

If what Apple did to logic after they acquired it from Emagic is any example (up until then it was dual platform), may they never be allowed to eat Cake!.
