It'll be what it will be,I want it to be mac version of sonar, seems unlikely.Don't understand why people assume having a macversion would end up shorting the pc users.Propellerhead does it well, ableton does it,protools, and others,fl studio is working on it.

Well it sure got a lot easier when Apple ditched the PowerPC architecture.

wonderful timing on this june first announcement. just as my focusrite 18i8 stopped working with the last update. had to revert to previous update to work again. now I know how PT users feel about updating. I never hesitated to update before or second guessing Cakewalk. but when you have a session in hand and you have no outputs show. my awww sheet moment had just arrived. with my songwriter just sitting there going dude WTF?
"if" this is about lifetime updates I hope they take their time with them and give us quality updates. my updates end in july. I want a solid stable program. not monthly bells and whistles. (but I do like the tungsten scheme lol)

Oh then if this was all a ploy to get ideas.

Well then, I hope my open source speculation comes as "gee that's a good idea. Ron"  So I could add two calls to the Control Surface API, GetEffectStripNum() and GetProChannelStripNum().

The lack of both calls in the Control Surface API have been overcome here but it took a village, many man hours and lines of code to do it. And yes, it's important to know what strip the control surface ACT focus is when there are many of the same like the Console Emu for example. And as of X2a and beyond, This fx or pc stripnum is not necessarily just the current selected strip now, is it? :-)

Ok, Rant over.

I would like to see some related calls in the API, but these 2... For what that can be good?

I suppose the next question is exactly when tomorrow the announcement will be made?

Tomorrow starts at 12AM EST for Boston. I'll stay up late to read it.

Everyone on pages 31-36 who said anything to the effect of "I should be receiving emails but I haven't seen any"

There are zero changes to audio configuration in this release that could have caused it. I suspect you had a windows update that caused issues or blocked the update happening properly. Did you restart your PC before trying the update?
