I wouldn't mind a MAC version. I wouldn't use it now but probably sometime in the next year and I'd love to get a MACBOOK instead of another HP. Projects would have to be cross platform though because I'm not replacing my DAW for a while. If it is, there should be another Bigger announcement.

I would go for a Mac version when Apple has a PC version for Logic!

You know it will be a giant web page and many people to carry around and then ship to internet on lorries...nothing that can be done in minutes....

It better be something big after all of this time waiting for the announcement.  And it better not be a Mac version.  I'm PC based and have been since the dos based version of Twelvetone software first came out.  Teasing all of us long term Windows based users like this and them coming out with a Mac version of the program would be a big let down.

Me too, kind of - Cakewalk Pro 3.0 1989, then a MusicQuest midi interface in a Toshiba portable pc.
Just had a Roland TR909 drum machine and a Casio CZ1000 synth and Yamaha piano for midi though.

Sacrificed one track one a 4-track Tascam Portastudio to sync it and mix through a 4 channel Tascam mixer with a few hardware units like a reverb and chorus on the Aux.

But all the planning it took not to do more than one overdub also took away a lot of the joy.

Then it was Cakewalk Win 1.0 on windows 3.0 and upgrades to v1.25 eventually.

Then I wanted a Fostex 16 track real-to-real but never could afford it.

A couple of Fostex HDD portas later....

then Sonar 4 in 2005 and on it went...

so....tapping fingers....

My last speculative guess before the BIG announcement:

They're selling to Behringer

Nope Behringer just knocked off SONAR and sells it for $29.

I don't think that will EVER happen but it should. Apple seems to be running short on HW products. Now making smaller iPhones... It seems they have topped out in the HW department so they have to depend on repeat customers and software. IMO.

I actually hope it's an announcement that Sonar is migrating to Mac. It's the only thing preventing me from moving to the 5K iMac. As a photographer and sometimes videographer, I've been drooling for that screen. It has always been my music apps that have kept me committed to the PC.
