I will never look at Windows again as soon as I have MacSonar installed!

Same here.  The main reason I was ever on Windows was Sonar.  Totally nothing wrong with Windows, but I do other stuff on the OSX platform.

Jepp! Same here and it came to a point where Windows annoyed me severely for one last time and I sold my PCs and had to consider Sonar a casualty of war. I haven't regretted it once - but I've missed Sonar quite a bit. When I boot up Bootcamp to do something with old Sonar projects, it runs quite well, but Windows still get on my nerves!

LOL, 3rd announcement is just a link to the rolling updates page.

what a waste of time refreshing the website just for that.

Maybe the link wasn't correct, I checked and it's not going to the Rolling Updates page. But the details in the Rolling Updates page are pretty interesting.

Ripple Editing is a big deal - Cakewalk wants to end the "delete hole" issues, but if ripple editing is implemented similarly to how it's implemented in Vegas, this will make a big difference in arranging. Take and Comping management will also be welcome, and the plug-in load balancing (basically doing pipelining for the audio engine) will mean being able to load more plug-ins, fewer dropouts, etc.

It takes you to the statement of commitment page which has a link to rolling updates.

Seems I scored - I updated the day Lifetime came out for $149-. A $50 saving is a huge amount in my currency :O)

I was hoping Cakewalk would have bought out Magix and merged Sonar and Vegas Pro. j/k

Whelp.... I hope they are successful with the OSX path!

Sonar X3 (and beyond) has been such a wonderful creation...truly a life saver for me.  Looking forwarded to new and great stuff from CW.

That said, this whole marketing "wait until June 1st" thing (for all us Windows-based Sonar users), now feels a bit like finding out that the super-hot blind date we've been looking forward to having sex with, is actually a guy.

A really hot guy, but still, a guy.  Ha!

Well played, Cakewalk.  Well played.

This is the best post I've every read on ANY forum. Worth the June 1 letdown!! ;-)

No big news for me as I could care less about MAC. I am excited for Cakewalk though. I believe running Sonar on a MAC will expand their user base which means more sales and stability for the company! Go Cakewalk!!

I'm happy that Cakey is now working on a Mac version... but I have to say they really blew it on the marketing side

All this buildup for two future changes, and a new way to pay for the product today.

I'm happy they did all this, but they just wasted a marketing tool that you can only blow once.
