The devil is in the detail and what constitutes the core features. I suspect one will still have to pay for additional "non core" features (third party applications, VSTis, Pro Channel modules etc.) making the choice far from straightforward, I am sitting tight until June 1st.
Correct. Personally I always liked that I got several 'freebies' in the past like VSTs and stuff, although you can indeed argue that in the end you were just paying for those.
They were never free, you paid for them through the membership. I suspect the difference is that in the future, you can
choose whether you want to pay for them or not.
