I heard they are creating the next (some grandiose version) of a V700 like Controller to work seamlessly with Platinum and everything else to come in the future

The code-posted-on-git-hub is an interesting thought.   If you think there are some bugs in SONAR now, wait until the masses get their hands on it.

I look forward to the forum posts at noon, June 1st that say "June 1st is already half done; where is the announcement??!?!!!1; I'm moving to Logic!"

I could see Sonar on Mac, that would count as huge. And it would fit the announcement "...excite [...] those who currently are not using SONAR". But they would need a LOT of development time so either they already worked on it for a long time or it's a tease and a really long wait. I don't know if I'd be happy with it either. On the one hand, a bigger market, more acceptance are good for all of us. But the waste of development resources for a platform that I don't use at all wouldn't be so great.

I understand it's because Marketing and buzz-generation, but.
