I'm not getting the email's either and did subscribe.  Can you fix me as well.

I've not received an email of the Lifetime offer either.

I renewed my membership for Sonar Platinum in February and my email is showing in my account. Is there anything more I need to do to receive the offer.

Thanks.

You're both all set. Keep your eyes peeled :)

To do that we'd have to let people into the coffee house and we can't have that, now can we?

If it works out the way we plan it, the user could add a non core feature and it would have a trial period. When the trial period ends the feature will stop working unless you buy it.

I like "Try before you Buy". Cakewalk sometimes add features that are indespensible and others that don't work for my needs. This is a great concept! Only buy what you like!

Sonar core for free but rest is in-app purchase :)
When you mouse over hover over tools in sonar, you get a "buy" text instead of tooltip :)
This is the future of softwares I tell you, you will see.. :)

A question to the Bakers regarding the non core program elements of the upcoming Future SONAR .

Are you gonna include Demo's of any of the new Cakewalk buy in features and plugs that may be added to SONAR ?

Kenny

Maybe but there are so many more important things to focus on don't you think? We included Rapture Session, I imagine it would be the same deal.

Honestly , I have no possible Idea of what type of work stress you may be currently under .
IMHO , you seem to be holding up very well considering we may have been be in The Championship Rounds of this thread for quite some time ...
I applaud you for the amazing show of strength , patience and commitment to resole , field and clarify many points that have a number of  SONAR end user's confused ....

Sir , I tip my hat too you ...

Have I answered you OK ? on the whole " don't you think " ?

all the best,

Kenny

I think my point was there's been a lot of talk about core development and exciting things we can do to enhance the program. Whether we do lite versions of our instruments doesn't really change, whether it was membership or lifetime. It would probably make sense to give customers a demo or lite version of an instrument we put out so imagine that would continue. But bigger picture, there are a lot of good core features we can bring to SONAR.

No offense was meant.

If I look back at the past 18 months, I'd say 95% of the stuff we did was core development. We sell add-ons, instruments, and FX separately today.

It would be sad to potentially see things like Drum Replacer or Vocal Sync no longer considered to be core development, especially since they're integrated directly into SONAR and not standalone plugins or instruments like CA-2A, Rapture Pro, etc. However, if the price is right - which has already been alluded to and seems likely - then it's not a big loss.  Also, I'd assume that, like now, some features may be considered core for Platinum users but not Artist users, so depending on what a user is currently used to receiving, perhaps there won't be much of a difference.

Of course it's pointless to go around in circles and make points based purely on conjecture, but hey, we've gotta find some way to pass the time until we have concrete answers on June 1. We surely don't wanna be wasting time actually making music with our existing setup, right?! :)

Thanks to Noel and others for clarifying things and helping us understand what to expect, even though they made it clear that everything will be spelled out in June. We're a restless bunch and it's a good thing CW is patiently addressing our needy sensibilities. :)
