Andrew,

I signed up and paid for the lifetime option last week. Today I downloaded the Early Access version with the Great Looking Theme option.

I checked the "about" section and it still shows 2/17 as the end of my subscription. Could someone look into this?

Thanks

Walt

I don't think we need to worry too much. I'm more interested to know what happens on June 1.

I think this one of the better advices

Thanks. I had checked my account earlier, but couldn't find anything with the infinity symbol until after your post I kept drilling and finally found it.

I'm good to go for another 50 years. Or course they won't have computers then, and I'll be 121 years old!

If I understand this correctly, the 99$ price is for those who upgraded already this year (99$ deducted). For those who did not, the price will be 199$.

I already upgraded this year and the store shows my price for the "forever" thing as $149.

I had a couple of questions when this was first announced, but I can't think of anything other than the "BIG" announcement itself that hasn't been answered several times now.
If your in doubt just wait a few days...it won't affect your price.

I did not receive the notification e-mails although I upgraded to Platinum in 2015 and renewed early in 2016. I have signed up (again?) for newletters on the announcement page. Can you please check? Thxs

3. Previous "loyal" SONAR users who opt for the lifetime deal:
You get the latest version of SONAR + the default set of add-ons with all fixes and new/updated add-ons as it becomes available indefinitely. You don't need to pay anything again unless you want extra add-ons that are not part of default set of add-ons.

Now... I think people are concerned about option 3 because it implies CW will never make any money from them again.

This is assuming that CW never produces any other product again.  Even now, there are many products that CW have produced that are outside of the Sonar DAW itself.  EG Rapture Pro, Z3TA2, many of the Prochannel effects, ETC

It's quite possible that in addition to the lifetime model, June 1's announcements (yes, plural) will also include a range of new synths and/or plugins that would not be included in the core Platinum.

With monthly/annual everything would be included as it is now, people with lifetime updates would have to pay extra for things, such as Drum Replacer, Vocal sync and 3rd party plugs

If I'm not mistaken, Cake has officially stated that this is not the case. There will be no difference in regards to what people who pay monthly for Platinum get compared to what lifetime people get. Both will have to pay extra for extra stuff like 3rd party plugins. This, though not officially stated, leads me to believe that the price for a monthly/yearly membership will drop to account for this.

Yeah you are right I just saw it :) so there really should be no reason for anyone who pays monthly not to do it, the whole thing seems to me like they are taking away a few features that we would normally get and will sell them seperate (drum replacer, vocal sync) we'll have to see what happens on June 1st, like you said they will probably adjust the pricing
