Did you know that Cakewalk is 30 years old this month? Just found that out from the video.

Yeah, I've been looking at touchscreen monitors lately, hoping to find a reasonably-priced small one to mount on a stand for stage use. But most are as expensive as a laptop!

What would be really cool is an app that would let me use my Android tablet as a touch interface to my laptop over USB. Then I could stash the laptop anywhere and not have it taking up valuable stage real estate.

This Dell 22 is full HD, 10 point touch capable, and has an ergonomic stand for $230.  Looks promising ...

UWP will be the end of our world as we've known it for decades.

Nope.  It will never replace x86 win32.  It may augment it, though ...

abacab, thanks for the Dell link. That does indeed look promising for $230. It might even come down a little by the time CW is ready to release Dial support.

Now could you please find me one that's 10" or less that can mount to a mic boom?

And yes, you're right: Win32 isn't going away in our lifetimes.

This touchscreen is available in 10" ($285) and 13" ($385) models.

I don't see a VESA mount for the 10" model.  So not sure a mic stand adapter would work with that one ... but there is a VESA kit for the 13" model ...

I believe Splashtop x-display does this. https://support-xdisplay....-using-Wired-XDisplay-
I've used Splashtop before via wifi. Intend to try this out myself
