I've been a loyal Cakewalk/SONAR customer for a couple decades. Many great years have been spent coming to this forum and catching up on the posts. The content is amazing and the characters interesting. I could have posted more but you have to respect the s/n ratio. Thanks to everyone for making it what it is.
Having Craig Anderton on the site the past few years has been great. This guy is special. BITD I got his electronics projects out of Guitar Player and managed to cobble up some screamers. I read his book on Mixing and Mastering with SONAR 3 and really enjoyed it - especially the part where different producers used the same tracks to build wildly different songs. Lately he's led the way showing us how to plumb the depths of SONAR to achieve all kinds of cool fun and artistic ends. My admiration and thanks to Craig and his brilliant work.
Thanks and best of luck to all the Bakers who came up with all the great software. There have been so many great improvements, upgrades, and overhauls over the years. SONAR Platinum is simply a great product. Truthfully I don't feel inclined to crossgrade just yet. The other programs out there all seem unsatisfying.
Sad to see Cakewalk end on such a classy note. I'm sure Gibson had a gun to their head and had no choice. That's the way these things go. There's sure to be another chapter. See you in the next life!!
