I spoke with Rick Naqvi of Presonus.  He's aware of the issue with Cakewalk and said that by next week they may be offering a special crossgrade to Cakewalk users.  However, I have no idea what that actually means.

Not sure it would be any better than the Black Friday deal.  Wonder how long that will be good for.

Next week?  It's on sale right now at 50% off - what's better, to take up the current discount or wait until that expires and potentially get a lesser discount?

Me Too! Gibson - Class Action!

We used to have a saying inside Motorola back in the early 90s:

You can buy better, but you can't pay more.

Gibson stole that playbook.

The cross grade right now is $299. You can Buy Studio One for $199 right now on sale for black friday. I just did as I mentioned in the other thread.

Ive just spent the last hr or so messing around w/ Studio One. Looks different but its a DAW.

Yeah... I see Sweetwater selling Studio One 3.5 Professional for $199. Tempting...

Studio One Artist to Pro upgrades are $149, and I don't see any kind of cross-grade special for us being lower than that. The Black Friday price of $199 seems most likely to me.

Might be able to shave a few additional dollars off if buying through Audio Deluxe or Plugin Boutique.  Usually seems to be the way it works.

edit - just tried this at Audio Deluxe and got another $31 off - can be bought for $168.98 !!
