I don't have a real '59 LP (insert money emoji), but the re-issue I have is one of the best LPs I've picked up.
I'm not a fan of the Kluson tuners (compared to modern/locking tuners) and the body ergonomics aren't my favorite, but it just has that little something extra.  Got it on sale at the local GC (marked down ~$1500 due to a small ding on the body).

I had the exact opposite experience with a 2003 R7 "we finally got it right" braz board Goldtop.
It sucked! But in fairness, IF I had taken the time to have the nut done right it would have been fine.
Well the 'Burstbuckers' aren't PAF's, but Lindy makes a great humbucker.
I DID however try to buy a 2003 R9 (with the braz board) and it was "right"!
It had been "reliced" by RS Guitar Works, in my original brown case, you would be hard pressed to
know it was not an original, in a play it blindfolded test; no way you would know.
It played, sounded, and looked like it was made in Kalamazoo.
Fortunately the seller didn't accept Visa.
As to the "body ergonomics", its a Les Paul Jim; WTF?
They're "heavy" in the a$$ end, you drag your thumb around when play high up on the neck;
just the way they are.

I've just gotten spoiled by light/lean PRS Custom 24 bodies.

Yep!  I've gotten this discussion WAY off topic.

To steer things back to Cakewalk:
You should see just how well CbB performs with a 9980xe CPU (18 cores, 36 processing threads at 4.5GHz).
Running Helix Native at 96k with Presonus Quantum set to 32-sample ASIO buffer size (that's 1ms total round-trip latency), CPU use is a whopping 3%... and core balancing is incredible (FAR better than StudioOne, Reaper, and Cubase).
That's insane performance...

I was seduced by a '93 Custom 24 back in '94, so I get it!
My main squeeze is an '01 Santana these days, a bit more body than the 24's.
I've always been a "sucker" for the double cut LP Juniors, so its a perfect fit.
