I would if you will also brighten the play button on the transport when its in play. I can Email it to you if CW has no objections.

Yes, no problem.

Gentlemen This is written to thank Alree for great work. I sent him the dll yesterday late too and he got it back to me now with all the needed fixes. If you have not seen his work you have no idea what you are missing. I will keep this as part of my setup from here out.

Thanks Alree!

My latest scheme with the various TTSRes hacks can be downloaded here -

http://bare-foot.org/diamond/TTSRes16.zip For Sonar 7.

http://bare-foot.org/diamond/TTSRes17.zip For Sonar 8.

Each .zip contains 4 colour schemes for the segmented level meters - Blue, Cyan, Green and Yellow.

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the hacks for the SONAR 8 resources...and the link to your resource hacker...

...but...

What happens if the update that Keith Albright alluded to (http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=1526976&mpage=6) happens to involve changes to the TTSRes17.dll file? Do you have some sort of map of the changes that *you* made so as to transfer those over?

I'm affraid there is no map for the changes, you just have to go in there and change each individual bitmap one at a time (when you eventually find it). I could give you a list of the Bitmap numbers if
you wanted but unless the update involves GUI changes (which is not likely) you should be safe.

hey alree, have a look at "Restorator 2007", it can create a "Patch_TTSRes16.exe" with only your modified graphics inside. then the user can slap the patch into their sonar directory and if they are using "TTSRes17" they can rename it to "TTSRes16", patch it, then rename it back to "TTSRes17". as you mentioned the numbers stay the same so shouldn't be a problem. and the patch itself would only be about 120kb +/- (as it only contains the bitmaps)

EDIT: when the patch is used, it also creates a backup of the original file prior to patching.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that. The only problem is that I've made changes to the large transport for Sonar 7 which screws up the redesigned large transport in Sonar 8.

no probs! ah, i see what you mean about the 2 versions. that would eliminate the renaming on the user side.

(PS forgot to mention, nice job on the faders....less distracting to the eye (the originals were far too busy)
