hugojacquet >> With Gel meters (picture omitted)

Mr. Hugo ... can you please tell me what GEL meters are, and how they work ?  All I see in the picture is a meter with a lot of orange and another with less orange ...
What drives the difference ?  Is it something useful to have ?  Why ?

Merci !

Well, I have sonar 8.5 now (Studio) and applied the patch just to see....I just see simpler faders and that's it. Just a little cosmetics. I have put the initial dll back because I didn't notice much difference anyway...

Thank you for clarifying.

The Gel meters replace the segmented meters.
The color transitions are only to show different dB ranges.

Thanks hbb, much appreciated.

I'm confused,
Trying to use the rounded faders for 8.3. Your readme says to point to the correct file, so I am adding C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR 8 Producer Edition in front of the file, but it won't let me type all the characters. Am I that useless?

washburn ... just put the (correct for your version) .EXE file in the same folder as the SONAR program (in your case C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR 8 Producer Edition) and run it from there.  No need to enter any path.  Just make sure you make a copy of the TTSRes file and rename it in case you want to go back.  HTH.

The .EXE file already makes a copy of the original TTSRes file automatically.  He doesn't even need to do this :-)

Do make sure that the option to copy the original TTSRes file is checked though.

Take care!

(Laughs quietly to himself ...)  You are very right Jose; it's been a while since I did that and forgot about the "auto save".  But I tend to be overly-cautious nowadays when installing products and generally make backup copies of things before proceeding.
Thanks.

You can never be too cautions in this digital age.  Now that is the truth my friend :-)

Take care!

Resonant Order
I wanted to post a heads up here in case anyone else runs into this problem.

The Alree Gel Faders screw up my install of Sonar 8.5.2. Sonar runs perfectly, but after I installed the Arlee Faders, Sonar crashes every time I click on the Matrix view.

Also, Buddy's button faders don't work in 8.5.2. It keeps telling me that I'm using the wrong version or the wrong file.
