Copying Automation From One Project To Another

Hello, I have some NRPN automations in a softsynth track that I would like to simply copy from one project to another, but when I copy and paste into the new project, the automation lanes for the synth parameters go away and they seem ghosted. Looping softsynth part causing clicks and pops
