Comping mode has started overwriting!

Okay, so I'm in the middle of a session, recording some vocals in comping mode. All is well. Then Sonar X3 Producer (Windows 8.1) starts getting very weird in recording. Instead of creating new take lanes, it just starts overwriting all the preexisting stuff. Needless to say, I'm disgusted. Is there..

Why Are All My Softsynths (Including Cakewalk ones) so BASS-HEAVY?

Hello Everyone, I wanted to see if anyone has any input on this. It seems like softsynths (bass patches), I have to do a lot of severe EQ HPF work in order to remove unwanted frequencies. Now Time snap in X3

When my time ruler is set to M:B:T, I can left click to establish the now time marker. If the ruler is set to H:M:S, the marker keeps snapping to the previous stop position. Isthat normal? Is there a way to keep the marker from snapping?..
