The Melodyne upgrade is only available after X3's version is installed...right?

While waiting on my new computer, I'm guessing I have to install Melodyne first, before the upgrade offer appears....? Anyone know how long this offer is extended thru? At $149, it seems like a great buy to get the whole program, and I know I'll want to use the Polyphonic abilities for sure...
