What do you use for a visual time reference in track view?

I use the metronome bus as my timing reference and feed it to musicians i'm recording. What are some options for displaying these clicks or some other timing reference on the track view? E.g. I want to see what side of the beat the drummers snare hits are..Note 95% of my recordings do not use any mi..

Running Sonar x3 on Vista X64

Just wondering how successful Sonar X3 is running by users using the unsupported VISTA operating system.Does everything work ok.... or are there any negatives? I realise my VISTA days are numbered but cant afford to buy a new system for the foreseable future...

A tweak that I can't live without?!!

Now, I'm no Windows guru so I offer this tip on an "at your own risk" basis!!.Actually it's not really anything new so the designation 'tip' I will use just for convenience. That said, I've been reaping satisfying gains with it since Sonar x1 and have never encountered any issues at all on Windows 7..

Controling TH2 with midi foot - help needed

I have hooked up VOX Tonelab LE midi out with audio interface midi in. I was able to assign expression pedal to TH2 volume and wah and nothing else, no on/off stomp switches. And only in standalone mode. Inside Sonar, TH2 ignores expression pedal even though I can see in preferences it is assigned. ..

audio automation read ignored

Sonar X3 ignores my automation recordings unless I have the "W" highlighted. It will record the volume changes nicely, but will not respond to the volume changes unless the "W" button is still highlighted. The "R" button is highlighted n both cases.Even Sonar X3 Power is no help.Does someone on this..
