X1 Essentials Upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade from the basic Essentials version of X1 to Studio or Producer (X1)?..

Problem recording midi from GR=55

First time trying to record midi from my GR-55 Roland Gtr pickup. have midi track with input midi omni. The Sonar midii input icon responds indicating midi input is being read, but the midi track does not lite up. Ihave the record button on and record, but no notes are recorded. Whats up?..

Viewing Velocity etc images in clips

How do I enable the "hills and valleys" view of velocity/volume etc in my view of Clips...(I dont mean the single standard telegraph pole line..I get that) When editing say velocity i would like to see a more detailed picture in the Clip. Anyone know how?..

Gain Knob Disappears

Any one else seeing this? In Console View the Gain knob disappears when adjusting the Gain on a track. I've seen it on the Busses as well, but its intermittent. Also in the inspector, again intermittent. However, when adjusting gain in the Inspector, that knob in the Console disappearsLooks like..

Found a Good Application for the Tape Emulator

I'm not a huge fan of tape emulation (spent too many years working with tape ) but I tried adding a little bit on an acoustic guitar track, and it added an almost subliminal "edge" to the sound. Recording internet stream directly into Sonar

Is it possible to record sound directly from the internet (live as its playing) directly into a Sonar track? I don't get it to work, although logically I just need to select the correct input right ... or ...? I'm using a Motu Ultralite MKIII...
