Single MIDI source for multiple VSTi's

Hello, is there an efficient way to set up one MIDI source track for multiple soft synth/VSTi tracks? This seems very simple, I'm just struggling with how to do it. I want to do this for layering, and want to have only MIDI track that I have to mess with in PRV. Thank you, Todd..

IMHO, Dumb User Mistake Should be Caught by Sonar X3

Previewing midi patterns on an external device

X3 Pro 32 bit version in W7 64 - vst scan missing synths ?

Namely at the moment, IK Sampletank and Miroslav. Both installed to default locations and authorised. Standalones both work fine.
