MP3 Encoder Quit Working

Wasn't sure if this was a feature or not but I am running X3 Producer and when I try to do an audio export in mp3 format I am being told that "The MP3 encoder must be unlocked before use..." Up until now I haven't had an issue exporting in mp3 format within X3. So I guess I was wondering if I was us..

Snap on in staff view even when it is off?

Sonar x1:I'm in staff view. I can only enter notes according to the snap resolution, i.e., if set to "measure," it only enters notes on the first beat. This happens even when the snap button is "off." I can solve the problem by setting the snap resolution to my smallest note, but shouldn't it be off..

M-Audio MidiSport 4x4 Anniversary Edition

Anyone else having a problem installing a MidiSport 4x4 Anniv. Ed. MIDI I/F in Sonar X3?For some reason, Sonar X3 refuses to "see" it, forcing me to keep using my older (but still quite functional) MidiSport 2x4.Thanks for any help you can provide. SOLVED: CHANGED MY MIDI INTERFACE!..

Recording Multiple Voices Simultaneously?

What's the best way to record 3 bckground voices at the same time? Should I record each 1 separately for greatest manageability, or set up 2 condensors on 2 separate ch.s on the board?..

Does anyone know what Z3ta+ preset was used on Ellie Goulding's "Lights"

Not a fan of the song but the question was posed to me. I'm pretty sure the main synthline is a straight z3ta+ arp preset. if anyone can save me the tedious task of going through every preset I would appreciate it...

Still no stability with Waves VST3

Ok I am a little bit annoyed now. The Waves VST3 stuff is still not sorted completely I feel. Today I had a recording session with just acoustic guitar and vocals. I did a few takes so I did a very small amount of comping to fix one or two sentences and then the singer wanted to hear how it sounded ..

Convert Old Cakewalk File to MIDI

I have a WRK file that is about nine years old from Cakewalk Home Studio version 5, I think. I no longer have Cakewalk, and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to convert my file to a MIDI file. I put a lot of work into it and would like to have it as a midi file. Thank you in advance...

X3 (basic) and X3 Pro coexist in the same system ?

I've got the X3 (basic) initially when it was released and will be ready to upgrade to X3 Pro soon. Is it possible to install X3 Pro without having to remove the current X3 ? X3 installed flawlessly on top of my previous X1/2 Pro and since it didn't take up a lot of disk space, I rather just let it ..
