Super Newbie here - using effects on an Audio track

I have so many questions...but let's start with using an Audio track and adding a global effect to the track. I have an Audiobox USB and an electric guitar. So I find X3C to be a bit more stable, but this funny thing keeps happening: there seems to be an issue of me recording, say, a bass part, watching it be recorded,seeing it start a new take lane, stopping the recording, and voila! it has disappeared. What is the best way to export X2 projects for import into X3?

Hey Gang, So I have used X2 since the day it came out. I have many projects (unfinished) I wish to finish in X3. Setting Up SoundForge 10 as Audio Clip Editor for X3

Focusrite VRM Issue

None of my projects will play anymore.

I'm using Sonar 7 with Windows XP and none of my projects will play anymore. When I open a project and click play it plays for about one second and then it stops and says dropout.
