Best way to save Sonar projects?

I always save my Sonar/Cakewalk songs to the BUNDLE file format. I asked this question about 6 years ago and was told using something else would be better. I don't understand why? But I am assuming that when I asked that question the thing about .Bundle files might be that they can't be shared or so..

ok, I'm in a pickle. My PC crashed. I have all my recorded songs saved on ext HD using cakewalk. Files are in .cwp extension which is proprietary for Sonar. Has anyone figured out how to clean audio files folder in sonar?

The problem that still exists is trying to scan the clean the audio folder of unused files in sonar but then it crashes every time. So what is the safe way to delete these files? Thanks for your help..
