New pc, thoughts on hardware

Hi all, If I'm going to upgrade to X3 studio which sounds like the way forward, I'll need to upgrade from XP and I think it would be the time to get a new pc. I don't know much about graphic cards, sound cards or motherboards etc so I thought I'd see if you had any advice. Currently I have an Nvidia..

X2 Set time changes?

For the past year or so I've been bringing material to fruition. During that time, I've forgotten how to insert time changes and set the duration. I'm working on a new song that starts out in 4/4, but then goes to 7/8 and then to 15/4. Sorry for such a newb question, but the help file isn't much hel..

How do I keep the snap from changing.

Sometimes I will set the snap to 1/32. Then a minute later it shifts to 1/4.This happens quite often.Is there a way to stop this?I am not complaining. I can live with it. But perhaps there is a simple fix to keep it on one setting until I purposely change it.THANKS,..

X3c - install - had to skip VST file

Anyone experience this? It apparently gliched on installing a VST scan type file. So I skipped it, installed X3C without whatever file that was, and it seems to be running fine. Have others experiences this while installing X3c and should it be of any concern? THANKS...

downloading new plugins on new pc?

Is my math wrong or is cakewalk's?

I decided to try converting MBT time to samples, and my result is a little different from what i'm seeing in Sonar X2.
