X3 saying my project is 16 bit even though the audio driver bit depth is 24 bit

What to do with Ver. 8.5 Install

So, ver. 8.5 is SO screwed up, I can't even record a MIDI Pitch Wheel event. It hesitates, etc. It AIN'T my keyboard, cuz it works fine in Local Mode, and I've already re-installed it's OS.
