Can't modify ride cymbal sound in Studio Instruments Drum Kit

Hello, When bringing the velocity of my ride cymbal down from 120 to 2 - I do not hear any change in the cymbal sound. I thought it was velocity-sensitive. I accidentally dropped an audio clip into a MIDI track in Sonar X3 Pro

And it turned into a MIDI clip. And the MIDI clip played a line VERY close to the audio. If I'd known Sonar X3 could do that, I would have got it years ago...
