Upgrade

Hello all. I'm about to upgrade from 8.5.3 to X3 Producer, and wanted to make sure my PC can handle it. My specs seem to be OK, but I'm no computer guy, and wanted to draw on your expertise. Selecting which midi clip to place new notes in

If I have a midi track with a few layers on it (or even just a single layer midi track with 2 separate clips next to each other) and go to manually add a new note in the piano roll, how does Sonar decide which clip the new note will be placed in? I've tried highlighting the clip before I add a note ..

X3b - Assigned some commands to Shift+Num(0-9) but they don't work

I noticed this when I was on X2 but forgot to report it to support. Can anyone else confirm this? Is this a bug?..

Recording Audio from Roland SD50 and MIDI tracks recording on same track

I have the bass guitar plugged into the SD50, and I had created a MIDI drum track. But when I record the Bass Audio it records the audio from the MIDI drum track on top of the Bass Audio track. How do you turn off portamento (Yamaha MOX6)?

I'm a Sonar 2 user and am trying to use my new Yamaha MOX6 as a multi-sound source. For some reason portamento kicks in every time I try to replay a midi track. What should I do? If you're familiar with MOX6 please share how I may correctly use it as multi sound source. Thanks in advance.Willie..

How do I know if X3 loaded VST2 or VST3 version of plugin

Hi guys How can I determine if X3 loaded the VST2 or VST3 version of a plugin? Especially when it comes to WAVES and FabFilter ... but also in general ? This seems to be a crucial thing to be able to determine with certainty when tracking problems with projects created in X2a where plugs got replace..

How to make VSTi to appear on the list

The VSTi instrument appears in Plug In manager and being detected after the scan but not appears in the main plugins list. How do I make it to appear? I used "Add Plugin" and it adds it to the new list, but not main list. Thank you...
