Disappearing GUI in X3

I know I must be missing something, it's usually user error.. I've been using the Nomad Pulteq EQ in X3 on a couple of tracks, and leaving the plug's GUI open so that I can tweak it as I go along. Which Sequencing program has the best logic for its editing system to set the hot keys up.

I remember when I used Dr' T's KCS Level 2 the different editors had their key assignments chosen for you in Sonar we have to do that for ourselves for the various editors. Do some programs have better logic than others. How do people post their key assigments for the different parts within the edit..

Are any downoads installations unneccessary for upgrade X2 Producer to X3 Producer?

I seem to recall that a few things were unchanged from last version of X1 to X2, so download/installation of those modules was not useful.My search hasn't revealed anything on things that haven't changed for X3, so don't need to be re-installed. Anybody have any info on this?..

Difference between snap to grid and snap by note.

The preferences menu changed from x1 to x2 and the snap by grid and snap to note seemed to change something. I no longer see it listed in the preferences but instead became two separate sections. Am I understanding this right or is it part of a larger conversation?..

Sonar automatically changes my sound banks applying when I copy a midi track to an audio f

I copied midi tracks recorded to Instrument tracks but Cakewalk automatically along the way randomly chose presets and interspersed them. I can see the node of the patch change but can not delete them and I also can't get my preset that I want to bind to the track? Does anyone else have this issue? ..

Anyone else getting a constant low freq hum from the Tape Emulator?

I have it on a track with a lot of Melodyne sections. It doesn't start up with the hum, but after some time it just starts and won't stop until I re-start X3 (or of course turn off the Tape Emulator)...
