Upgrade from X1

X3 already - ! I still have X1, since I could not manage to upgrade my computer yet to install X2 - so now money wise do I get penalized as far as upgrading to X3 - assuming I invest in a new computer soon. ???..

How exactly do you use RPN in prv?

I'm guessing adding expression can be done by adding RPN, but every time I try to use it it messes up the volume of the whole track. Even when I haven't done any work each note already seems to have RPN value relative to its velocity. hm..Anybody can share tips for using RPN effectively? I'd really..

For those of us who don't pay attention: X3 pre-purchase tip.

Here's a reminder that the Nomad Plugins are licensed only for Cakewalk X3 and later versions. So don't expect to use them in other DAW software or even earlier versions of SONAR like X2. I didn't catch that until now. I'll learn to look for the details a little better next time...

Yay the step sequencer is still in X3 !!

I was concerned that features in X2 weren't in X3 but the step sequencer is still there !! That should work great with Addictive Drums !! Fantastic !!..

Snap turned off still snaps notes in piano roll view (X3)

Toggling (global) snap off in X3 still snaps notes in the piano roll. To stop notes from snapping I have to turn the whole snap function in PRV off completely. (With that right-arrow + grid icon) Is this an update to PRV and there's another way to turn off snap for the notes or is it a bug? Anyone e..

Does X3 have Global Swing?

Just curious if X3 has a global swing for all midi tracks that can be tweaked on the fly? Right now i have been putting a midi quantize fx on each midi track and any changes require touching each one with the change which takes way to long...

[SOLVED] CA-2A does not show up as VST (it is in Pro Channel) in X3

SOLVED: It's a VST3 for me. In X2 I can insert CA-2A into the fx bin from the VST2 FX menu. Unless I'm missing it somehow I cannot see CA-2A in the browser or the VST2 FX menu...
