Want to delete empty time at beginning of song

I have a song with multiple midi and audio tracks. Is there a simple way to get rid of 40 seconds of empty space at the beginning of the song? For some reason I cann't just select all the tracks and drag everything left. Also, is there a simple way to place my current time indicator in an arbitrary ..
