shortening sustained notes?

I have an audio bass line with held notes and one runs into the next leaving no space for other instruments.The notes are sustained in volume so I can't use a gate.Is there a slick way to shorten notes?I seem to recall something about Keying off something else?..

Automation not working? X1-solved, turn on "Read".

I did an automated volume line on an audio bass line and the fader and volume do not follow the automation line (Does not respond)The line looks fine and the fader has the little automation symbol over it in the inspector but not in Console view.I've done lots of these.What am I missing?..

Sonar X2a update issue

I'm trying to update date to Sonar X2a, but when I hit the link to download the update file, nothing happens. It just open the same page again. Is there an issue with this? Has anybody else had the same problem? Thanks, Oscar..

Wave preview, but no wave recording in X2 and X1

It drives me crazy!! I can record, see the preview waveform but when I hit stop, or even pause (tried to be smarter than X2), it is gone! Share Drivers not working

sonar x2 control bar VS sonar 8.5 control bar
