Auto-deleting automation envelope?

I'm cleaning up tracks by deleting all the unused clips in a track (with multiple take lanes). In doing so, the associated automation envelope for that part of the track (e.g., Mute) disappears. Is there a setting I can change so that the automation envelope stays intact while I delete clips in that..

Take Lane Solo/Mute behaviour is different in different folders
