Is there any way to upgrade from Artist?

I think I know the answer but I wont lose anything asking. I have Sonar Artist (paid monthly until the end of 2016) and I was thinking in upgrading to Platinum when I realized that Gibson shut down Cakewalk. Is there a way to (legally) upgrade Artist to Platinum?..

So I see a lot has gone on. I have been out of the loop for a while. Most all of what I am reading in just people barking at this and that. Can someone fill me in on the facts of what is truly known about what has gone on with Cakewalk and why(if it is known)? Thanks David..
