Windows 7 and SONAR Platinum: compatibility, stability?

Since the last Windows 10 updates I've been experiencing some strange glitches with SONAR Platinum. I'm considering replacing Windows 10 with Windows 7. What am i supposed to do when this message pops up during a vst scan, it open windows explorer and stopes the scan " Select Waves 9.7 SG Studio Modules Folder". Total re-install of SONAR X3 after C drive reformat - issues, stuff not showing up etc

This is complicated but I'll try my best to explain. My computer got messed up due to one of thos buggy windows updates.
