Group tracks and input (not send) only one fx to all these tracks, how (?)

Hello There! I bet this is a noob question, but I can't really seem to find a simple way to do this... Let's say I have 2 tracks (left guitar & right guitar). I want them to have the same EQ, but instead of inputting that EQ 2 times on each track, I would simply like to input it only just once ..

Volume automation vs Clip Gain Automation?

I've used volume automation a lot but never Clip Gain automation.Can anyone explain the difference? Is it about the Gain knob vs Volume fader? Is that just to keep the fader constant so that it sounds better?..
