Update VST location on old projects

I have reinstalled Sonar and the VSTs several times over the years (PC and HD upgrades, etc.)When I open old projects I get the "The following plug-ins are referred to by the project but can't be found" error, even after scanning.Usually it's DimPro. I can select then 'replace synth' with DimPro but..

Dimension Pro

Can't seem to get any sounds out of Dimension pro. I think I've setup in preferences correctly. Also I/O of the track. If I follow steps, insert soft synth and choose SI-Electric Piano as an example, it will immediately be there with my keyboard, so not sure why I'm having difficulty with Dimension...

Midi- folder not showing trax?-solved

I opened an old song to work on.The SD3 drum track sounds fine and there is a PRV with the midi info in it.But I can see no audio or midi trax, only a folder that says. 1 audio, 1 Midi, 8 synths, 0 hidden.Where is the midi info hiding?..

Take lane copy problems

When I try to move or copy an audio clip from one track to another, (multiple take lanes in each), sometimes is works and sometimes it doesn't . Sometimes the clip just disappears. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. What am I doing wrong? I've can't seem to control where the clip en..

Vertical blue line when moving clips disappeared - Solved

I used to see a vertical blue line at the end or start of a clip when using the Move Tool, which would extend up to the time ruler in the track view. Now i cann't see it any more, probably i disabled it by mistake. Anyone knows how to get it back? Joseph..

Hi all, Quick question - when mixing a tune with traditional left and right guitars - what's your preference? Do you pan them hard (100%) left and hard (100%) right? Production Process Question

Just wondering what the "correct" process should be.After recording tracks, adding soft synths etc. Should the soft synths be bounced to tracks and then deleted before exporting to wav's?What are the ups or downs of leaving the soft synths and not bouncing them to a track?
