Is there a quick, easy way to set the metronome tempo by measuring between, for example, kick drum hits of an existing song? Burning CD-Nero screw ups?

NI Komplete6 spdif confusion

I am having a little trouble here. I can record and monitor regular guitar/ mic inputs. I can record spdif signals as well through the spdif in of my komplete 6.
