Buzzing Sound when sonar is open

I don't know why this is but whenever I'm in Sonar and a track is armed for recording, I hear a strange buzzing sound coming out of my headphones. It doesn't get recorded. Anybody know why this happens?..

Random midi notes get selected

I'm relatively new to midi so this may be a basic task. I wrote a part for violins and I want to change to violas, so I am group selecting, lassoing, the notes above the violas range with the intent of dragging them down to the violas range.
