Pro Channel EQ Does Nothing

This has happened at times in the past and is happening again today: Pro Channel EQ does nothing. In thes case, I turned Pro Channel EQ on on an SI-Bass track. My Mic won't function and Sonar doesn't pick up the signal.

I am trying to record my voice into Sonar but somehow, it won't pick up the signal from the microphone. Other than Sonar, it seems like my microphone is working with no problem but it just won't work within Sonar. (I've tried it on different softwares.) Can someone please help me on this problem? ..

midi sound error

i am using sonar x1 producer..i use it to cover songs.the problem is with the midi file...after i export a guitar pro file as a midi file..i insert the file in sonar and delete every midi track except the drums one.then i record the guitar on it using zoom g series driver.i can hear the drums clearl..
