Your favored method for layering drum sounds?

I'm currently using XLN Addictive Drums for most of my drum tracks, but AD is a closed system so it's not very friendly to drum sound layering. Really? One computer?

I have sonar 8.5 and it says I can only install on one computer. I thought it used to be two. Is the new version more than one? I might switch if this is the case. I can't afford three copies. Are all daws like that?..

Sonar X2 trial version

I'm having an issue installing the free trial version of Sonar X2. It gets near the end of install and a bunch of windows pop-up saying things along the line of certain .dll files could not be found or verified? Reason Rewire - Sonar X2 (it's happening in X1 - because I have the soundcard priblem X2

I can call up a synth- play it live fine- can see it on the Midi track and the output channel - control it, etc. - it's happening in the Sonar I record some on the Midi track - the Midi channel shows it's happening- but the audio channel will not receive it. Any ideas? Thanks...

p1 p2 p3 etc in MIDI recording

Hi all, I am new to the forum and also into recording and editing.. I did a MIDI recording from roland e60 arranger. But the cake walk project contains vertical lines and i could see marked p1, p2 ,p3 ....etc.. Actually what bothers me is i could hear noise like cracking or beating at these points..
