Can A Roland Interface Cause Sonar Issues?

Insert mono track (solved)

I have some mono wav files that I want to import into mono tracks. It seems I have to first create a track then import audio into it. gate on acoustic guitar?

I'm using Sonar 8, Windows Vista, Edirol UA-4FX box, either a Rohde condenser mike or an SM58. Trying to record acoustic guitar and in certain places I want a slow strum or reverse arpeggio to just sustain and ring as long as the guitar can keep it going, which with my guitar is at least 10-15 secon..

Why melodyne PLUGIN it´s not reading when I play the track?

I insert the plugin, press transfer and play the track. It receives sound but it doesnt "record" it in the melodyne itself. Im using X1. Any help?? thank you..

Assume a uninstall of X1 will not touch the VST folder? Safe then?

According to subject - and probably answered directly/indirectly after browsing around and googling: Going to remove X1d in favor of X2 - probably.
