is there a way to automatically make uniform slices to a piece of audio?

say have it sliced every 1/8th instead of zooming in a manually click each 1/8th and slicing by hand?..

Automation recording not working properly X2a

Another fail Try and record ie volume automation with my BCF2000, and basically when finished and stopped, it shows the automation, but any points at where I performed no fader movement it jumps back to the value at which i started the recording level from (ie -50db), so you end up with a chopping u..

Help understanding session drummer 3

Hi, just upgraded to X1 and trying to better understand SD3. - With a kit loaded, in the MIDI source track (PRV) I can see all of the instruments in the drum map. But there are many more instruments in the map than in the actual kit. Some of them are understandable, such as 4 different kinds of hits..

Varispeed using CAL: Is it possible?

I'm thinking of writing a CAL script that using X2's features to allow me to do varispeed (my only big gripe with Sonar). Basically it'd allow you to input how much you want to speed up or slow down the project and then it'll change the tempo correspondingly (meaning MIDI stays sync'd) and processes..

2 issues

Issue # 1: After I export the audio (either in WAVE or mp3), I open it in either Soundforge or Waves Essential. But both say that my interface, QUAD-CAPTURE, isn't there. Hi I'm about to upgrade to x2 and win8 from xp and sonar 6 pro. In the past I've disabled a lot of windows processes as a lot have been unnecessary. Welp... I still have no idea how the heck MIDI channels work. :-/

I understand pretty much every little bit of knowledge put in front of me in regards to audio but MIDI? Ugh... no dice. Just spent a few hours trying to make the bank, patch, channel thingies on some MIDI channels DO something... ANYTHING but the only thing that I managed to make happen was complete..
