First midi note after opening project always louder?

I have several midi tracks and soft synths in this one project. But every time I open the project and play it for the first time after opening it, the first note of each midi is always louder than the rest. And then it remains normal after that until you close and re-open the project again. This is ..

Perhaps the wrong program for me ... what can I get

I got a copy of Sonar X2 early this year (2012) because I had used cakewalk. It did what I needed -- translated midis to simple scores and let me do some manipulation. Sonar X2 is probably too much for me. I have midi files. It is annoying me to the point of breaking things that I cannot simply play..

*SOLVED* How do I turn on the Drag and Drop Options dialogue?

Back to working on the tuts again and at the Editing section. I'm doing the Range Select, Drag and Drop part and it says I should be getting the Drag and Drop Options dialogue which I am not. V-Vocal crash in Sonar X1

Wondering if anyone is having an issue with V Vocal crashing... every time I attempt export a track into V- Vocal it cause Sonar X1 to crash... what do y'all think is going on?..
