Weird copy / paste behavior

Using X1 - working on a new project. When I copy a clip to put in another track, when I do the paste click -- instead of putting it where I want in the next track,,,a new track is created below that one - with that clip in it!!!? What gives with this --- some unaware setting I accidently set???..

How to arrange midi tracks automatically?

I want to arrange midi tracks following by an assignment automatically. for example: - patch Electric bass (finger) will be channel 2 - patch Drums will be channel 10 etc.. can .CAL file do this? anything else? can i do this with many midi files at the same time?..

Color on Active Track in Track View

Hi all, Is there a way to change the color of the active track in the TV? I used Panu's mod in X1 but it doesn't work in X2 (just upgraded!). The color adjustment in the Colors dialog in Preferences does not work. I really need a bright active track indicator-really helps in a crowded TV. Thanks!!..
