Any chance Cakewalk could be sold to another party (That would keep it going)?

Most of these threads are assuming this is the absolute end of Cakewalk. But is that really a certainty? What are the chances another company could come along and buy it?..

All this talk of what now, what next is making me crazy. I'm using Sonar until it grinds to a halt. With a little luck we can find a work around for the installation issue and carry on. Optimism after heartbreaking news

Been using sonar since pro audio 9, and for me this is the BEST MIDI/Sequencing DAW ever made. I am optimistic though that the folks who run cakewalk would break off and start a new company to keep Sonar (or whatever name they use) alive and intact. I'm not giving up hope...maybe another big DAW com..

This is indeed a sad day... however, since everything was handled for installs from the command center.. are we able to download the files manually for a manual install? Or is everything hiding behind the Command Center?..

Offline Authorisation

First off I'm really sad to see the news and especially so for all the people who work at Cakewalk. If I download all the files and my serial key, is it possible to authorise Sonar offline so I could continue to use the software even if the servers are shutdown? ~ Tony..
