Focusrite VRM Box with Sonar X1 & X2 driver problem (solved)

I recently bought a Focusrite VRM Box from B & H foto for $75 inc. shipping. It works great with I-tunes and T-Racks 3 but I can't get it to play nice with either X1 or X2. The asio driver shows up in the list but remains greyed out. I'm using it as a stand alone i.e. no other sound card or S/PD..

[issue] X2a Plugin names instead of plugin dll names

With this change, i am unable to identify plugins in the browser. For example kontakt 3. X2a update problem

So I am apparently the odd one. I downloaded the 2a patch and installed it. I then opened X2 and opened a project I had been working on just before doing the update. using kontakt based vsti in x2?

probably a silly question but, if I use a kontakt based vst that has 44.1k samples will it playback correctly in a project that uses 48k as its sample rate? I just want to verify before I purchase. thanks...

x2a - pretty stoked... until...

when using matrix view it worked flawlessly... until... i dragged a midi clip to the matrix and then inserted midi fx of arpeggiator and delay into the midi track's fx bin. then, sigh, no sound at all when triggering the cell. anyone else??..
