X2 x64 Pro will not even start on new i7 laptop? rebooted andit launched?

It's an asus N56vm-2GB nvidea Video, 8GB Ram-tons HD space. It only has the realtek HD sound but I figured it at least would launch? I only wanted it for playback of Audio projects. I mean the hour glass doesn't even spin? Any ideas? I do plan on getinga USB audio interface to enhance the audio goin..

Record latency

Fellas, Still having trouble with record latency. It is not a universal problem! Some projects behave properly, others exhibit enough latency when monitoring a record channel to make it unplayable. It's way out of sync. IF I don't monitor the record channel and just listen to the rest of the playbac..

Should I insert a bus to raise levels?

I've got a song that I'm starting to like, but my levels are at -22 db. Is setting up a new stereo bus the best or most transparrent way to raise the levels? It seems that doing this alone raises the volume quite a bit. Another way is to turn up the gain on every track...guess I'm just wondering wha..

MIDI translator

This question may sound a bit retro, but ... Is anybody using a MIDI translator that works under win7 64 bit? MIDI OX and yoke are old and only 32 bit. What I intend to do is filter out and replace certain blocks of MIDI messages with modified messages before they come into Sonar. Hence, CAL scripts..
